Background of the Study

The adoption of enterprise mobility solutions (EMS) has revolutionized the modern workplace, enabling employees to work remotely and access organizational resources seamlessly. Remote work, facilitated by EMS, has gained prominence globally, especially during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Nwachukwu and Ibrahim (2023), EMS tools such as cloud computing, mobile device management, and virtual collaboration platforms significantly enhance workforce productivity by fostering flexibility and accessibility.

In Nasarawa State, the transition to remote work has been particularly notable in sectors like education, IT, and professional services. However, while EMS offers numerous benefits, challenges such as cybersecurity risks, poor infrastructure, and employee adaptation often affect their effectiveness. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between enterprise mobility solutions and workforce productivity in organizations adopting remote work in Nasarawa State.

Statement of the Problem

Despite the advantages of enterprise mobility solutions, their implementation in Nasarawa State organizations has faced significant hurdles. Issues such as unreliable internet connectivity, limited technical expertise, and concerns over data security hinder the effective adoption of EMS. These challenges raise questions about the actual impact of EMS on workforce productivity, necessitating a detailed evaluation of its effectiveness in remote work environments.

Objectives of the Study

  1. To assess the effectiveness of enterprise mobility solutions in enhancing workforce productivity in Nasarawa State.
  2. To identify the challenges associated with the adoption of EMS for remote work.
  3. To evaluate the impact of EMS on employee satisfaction and organizational performance.

Research Questions

  1. How effective are enterprise mobility solutions in enhancing workforce productivity in Nasarawa State?
  2. What challenges affect the adoption of EMS for remote work?
  3. What impact do EMS have on employee satisfaction and organizational performance?

Research Hypotheses

  1. Enterprise mobility solutions do not significantly enhance workforce productivity in Nasarawa State.
  2. Challenges associated with EMS adoption do not significantly affect their effectiveness.
  3. Enterprise mobility solutions do not significantly impact employee satisfaction and organizational performance.

Scope and Limitations of the Study

The study focuses on organizations in Nasarawa State that have adopted remote work practices during 2023–2025. Limitations include variability in EMS adoption levels and potential biases in self-reported productivity measures.

Definitions of Terms
